The trails of the Ancient Mountains

The hiking trails travel along paths and narrow roads through the varying forests of Teuva and a nearby town Karijoki. You can follow these trails for a quick trip into the nature, or take a full day hiking in the woods. Along these trails you can also find small lodges suitable for overnight stay and multiple lean-to-shelters as well.

These particular trails are marked with poles and signs for easy following.

From the link above you can see a map of all the trails of the Ancient Mountains. The network of trails includes multiple connected trails: Parra-Suksenjärvi-Sivi, Parra-Suksenjärvi-Pappilankangas, Parra-Loukaja-Äystö and Karijoki-Kakkori-Parra.

In winters with enough snow, some of the trails have maintained ski tracks. Then you can access a network of dozens of kilometers of ski tracks from Parra.
