The slopes of Snowpark Parra have a lot to offer, from a Sled Hill to tricky snow parks. Families with small children especially love the free rope lift in the Little Slope for practising, tricksters in turn enjoy the multiple rails and jumps.
Parra´s disc golf course has 18 holes around the woods. The course climbs on the Parra Hill, and passes some ancient stone fields as well as two small lakes.
Have you tried winter swimming yet? It´s phenomenal to enter the wintry waters of Parra lakes after a hot sauna.
The two small swimming lakes of Parra offer refreshing for visitors. In summer, the sun shines on the beach all day long.
The Parra mountain with its surroundings is full of beautiful destinations that are easy to access – ancient stone fields, viewpoints, built grounds and a lake for birdwatching. Resting is easy on multiple lean-to shelters and open huts.
In Parra you can find a lighted ski track, which wanders up and down the Parra mountain. In a winter with enough snow, it’s also possible to join a 70-kilometer long ski trail network from Parra.
Besides everything else, Parra is the point where all the hiking trails of the Ancient Mountains (Muinaisvuoret) meet. The most versatile structures and scenerys the trails have to offer are located right around Parra and Suksenjärvi.
Accommodation & Restaurants
The cottage village in Parra woods has around 60 different cottages and other leisure homes. You are very much welcome to rent one for your vacation in Parra!
Parra Caravan Parking is a spacious parking area for caravans and motorhomes, built greenly to fit the forests surrounding it.

Parra Bistro is a café-restaurant on the Snowpark Parra’s side the Parra mountain. Parra Bistro is open only in winters, together with the ski center.
Events & Special Occasions
How would a hot afternoon sauna sound – in a combine harvester or maybe a phone booth? The Mobile Sauna Festival is certainly the most special of all the events in the area.
The Luonto-Parra yard offers a gorgeous setting to various events. A special atmosphere is created by the Lapland-style Parra Goahti and the Forest Church.
